Privacy at WorkCrate
How WorkCrate handles calculator inputs, signed-in account data, local legacy projects, account identity and support information.
Public calculators
You can use WorkCrate calculators without creating an account. Calculator inputs are used to produce the estimate shown to you. They are not automatically added to a customer or job.
Signed-in accounts
If you create an account, sign-in is handled by WorkCrate's configured identity provider; WorkCrate does not collect your password on its own sign-in page. Signed-in account data can include customer contact details, job/site details, saved calculations, material and labour entries, quotes and generated job information.
How signed-in data is handled
WorkCrate stores signed-in application data in its hosted service. Requests are authorised against the signed-in user's workspace. A local export is separate from this hosted data and is not an automatic cloud backup.
Local project data
Some retained project features may store information in your browser or on your device so they can work locally. This is separate from information you save to your signed-in WorkCrate account.
Analytics
Usage events use a session identifier for signed-out visitors and a server-resolved user identifier for signed-in users, rather than names or email addresses. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous. Application Insights also records operational support and payment-submission events, including record identifiers and payment references, but not support message bodies or payment-card details.
WorkCrate uses limited analytics to understand visits and a small set of product actions, such as opening or completing calculators, sign-up progress, job creation, pricing interest and feedback use. We do not send calculator measurements, customer or job content, notes, files, authentication tokens or feedback messages as analytics events.
Feedback
When you choose Give feedback, WorkCrate stores the message you submit together with limited context needed to understand it, such as the current page, calculator type where relevant, device class, release version and whether you were signed in. If you are not signed in, you can optionally provide an email address for follow-up when you allow us to contact you.
Support
If you send a support request, WorkCrate stores the information you choose to include so we can understand and respond to the issue. Avoid sending passwords, authentication tokens, payment-card information, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
